Why do guys treat me differently in a skirt?

Why are guys treating me like so much differently when I am wearing dresses or skirts? I feel like they really do treat me differently compared to how they do when I wear pants..

Because a skirt is a very visible and conspicuous marker of femininity. It makes them see you more clearly, not as a less of a person, but as more of a woman. This is one of those aspects of human behavior that follows its own rules; they're internally consistent, but don't make a lot of logical sense: people treat me differently when I'm wearing a kilt, which, despite being, quite literally, a skirt, is a conspicuous marker of masculinity, somehow (what could be manlier than looking more feminine?). Maybe it's just an inherently polarizing thing.

You're going to be perceived as more feminine when wearing a skirt or dress, and, yes, that will affect how people treat you.

I'm normally a "jeans & T-shirt" guy, but if I came up to you in a tailored suit, or if I came up to you wearing a threadbare terrycloth bathrobe and slippers (and nothing else), I think it's fair to say that you'd treat me very differently (in both of those alternate examples) compared to the "jeans & T-shirt" version of me - so why wouldn't it be different with guys?

Because, skirts make a woman show skin, so some men get attracted and start flirting with the woman.
